1. What kind of TVs is it compatible with?

Almost any TV. It works with any TV that has an HDMI or AV port as shown on the back.

2. Can you use any remote such as a Roku remote?

Sadly no. It uses a special remote programmed to the VideoVision specifically, but you may be able to use a universal remote.
